Q1 Construction Update: 55C Bloor Yorkville Residences

As the first quarter of this year has come to a close and Q2 is well underway, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the progress we’ve made and the goals we’ve set for ourselves. With the start of 2023 comes new opportunities and fresh beginnings, and Q1 serves as a crucial period for laying the foundation of success for the rest of the year. At 55C Bloor Yorkville Residences, we have made exciting progress on-site. Here are some of the key updates:

Formwork – Our formwork has made significant progress, reaching up to the 37th floor.

Windows – Our windows have also progressed steadily, reaching up to the 25th floor.

Finishing – Our finishing work has also begun in earnest. The first kitchens have arrived on site in the podium, and suite tile, millwork, and paint are well underway. Suite demising and interior stud walls are starting to be installed in the tower.

Moving into Q2, we are projecting to continue our formwork progress and reach near the 47th floor. Our windows will also continue to progress and are projected to reach near the 37th floor. Drywall in the tower will begin in April, and we will begin to receive millwork, tile, and paint shortly thereafter. Suite demising, interior stud walls, and drywall will be well under progress in Q2, while the first kitchens will be arriving on-site in the tower at the end of June.

55C will stand 50-storeys tall and will house 665 residential dwellings in the heart of Toronto’s Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood. The project is slated for completion in 2024.
