Q1 Construction Update: Waterworks

Q1

January – March 2021

The first quarter of 2021 saw exciting progress at our Waterworks project on Richmond Street. Construction to the new YMCA and the European-inspired Food Hall commenced, while residents of the fourth and fifth floors were granted occupancy to their suites. In the near future, we’re looking forward to the augmentation of residences on floors six through thirteen, while advancements continue in the concourse below. Our St. Andrew’s Playground revitalization and expansion are expected to be completed this fall, and our construction team is working diligently to install the porcelain paneling on the exterior of the building.

We have officially finished restoring all of the brick, windows, and skylights in the Food Hall, while we continue to install the central kiosk structure for our future tenants and paint all of the exposed steelwork. We’re working to complete both the indoor and outdoor amenity spaces as quickly and safely as possible.

Progress at the future site of the YMCA is happening quickly. Mechanical and electrical services have been installed on the 2nd floor and the base building is almost finished and ready to be handed over to the YMCA fit-out team.

Additionally, the YMCA 2nd floor pool has been tested to ensure no leaks are present and the waterproofing system is now being installed.

Waterworks comprises 288 units, a new YMCA, and a European-style food hall. Its projected full completion is Summer 2022.
