Q4 Construction Update: Waterworks

Q4

October – December 2021

As the year comes to a close, so too nears the completion of our community spaces at Waterworks. We have been working diligently behind the scenes on the Foodhall, the new YMCA and St. Andrews Playground, which officially opened this month.

In the last quarter of 2021 we poured, polished and finished the floors, hung the lighting fixtures and installed all mechanical systems and signage bands in the Food Hall. With a little bit of imagination and a quick peek at the photos below – it’s so easy to picture this one-of-a-kind spot bustling with life!

Looking west down the Food Hall, a sublime row of chandeliers hang, protected from the final stages of construction, while the newly polished floor also remains covered.

The signage bands mark the location of each kiosk, while mechanical shaft walls are being framed neatly within them.

Looking west from the 2nd level mezzanine reveals a clear view of the chandeliers that flank the hall, and uncovers the inner workings of completed mechanical systems for the kiosks such as ductwork, sprinklers, and drainage pipes.

After commencing construction on St. Andrews Playground in INSERT YEAR, this month, we celebrated its official reopening for the public!

Keep your eyes peeled in the coming months for further applications like interior millwork, paint, and indoor and outdoor signage. 2022 will commence the finishing fit-out of the Waterworks Food Hall.

Waterworks comprises 288, a new YMCA and a European-style food hall. Its projected full completion is Summer 2022.
